Macomb County Newborn Photographer | Twins Mila & Makayla

Mila (pronounced Mee-Luh) & Makayla were officially my first twin newborns this past December. Their parents contacted me just a few weeks after finding out they were expecting these beautiful girls, and I was absolutely thrilled to be able to work with twin newborns for the first time! Even more thrilled when I found out they were both girls! They were born about a month earlier than expected, just before Thanksgiving, weighing just 3lbs 14oz and 4lbs 10oz. They spent their first few weeks in the NICU, and by the time I had them in for their photos almost a month after they were born, they had gained a pound each. They were just 4 and 5 pounds for their photos, and the sweetest little girls ever.

I couldn't have asked for better babies to work with for my first twins experience. They slept like a dream, and we only needed to stop once for each of them to eat! I also still can't get over how different they look! Mila with her dark hair and lashes, and chubby cheeks, and Makayla with her blonde hair and lashes, and so teeny. Their mama told me she was nervous that she wouldn't be able to tell them apart when she found out they were both girls (as was my concern lol!), but neither of us had anything to worry about because they are definitely so unique from each other. This was such a wonderful experience, and such a calm and beautiful session. I couldn't have dreamed for their session to go better than it did!

The pose below was my ultimate dream goal for this session, and I can't believe these girls allowed us to pull it off! It definitely took us some time to set up, with one of the girls wriggling out of their pose once we had the other one set lol, but wow was it worth the effort. I'm so glad they were such good babies to cooperate for this! (And a major thanks to my sister Brenna who was my assistant for this session; I could NOT have done it without her!)

Poses like this are always a composite of two images, and babies are never left without hands holding them at all times. Please do not try this without proper training.

I can't wait to have these girls back throughout the year to track their growth! "Like" my page on Facebook to be sure you don't miss out!

Macomb County Newborn Photographer | Camden

Sweet Camden's newborn session was amongst the slew of boys I had at the end of last year. His session photos are without a doubt some of my favorite images I've taken so far. He was SUCH a good baby, slept like a champ, and let me wrap and pose him so many different ways. I was definitely a happy camper!

Keith and Michelle also hired me to take their maternity photos last Fall, which I've included some highlight photos of below. Check out their session highlights!

Michelle brought her grandma's afghan to include in Camden's session! Camden was so snug and cozy in there, and I absolutely love being able to include personal items that have so much meaning to my clients.

The image above with the guitar is a very special one, as this guitar belonged to Keith's brother, who sadly passed away last Spring before he had the chance to meet his sweet nephew. Keith and Michelle wanted to include the guitar in their session to honor his memory and his love of music. I couldn't have been happier to be able to include this for them, and I so love that Camden gave a sweet smile for it as well.

Congratulations Keith and Michelle! Camden is such a sweetheart, and I'm so thankful you trusted me to document this fleeting time in your lives. <3
